EVE

 Greetings, 

The first woman we are going to look at in the bible is EVE. Eve story takes place in the book of Genesis end of Chapter 2 -3. Eve reason or being for creation was to be a help meet for Adam. God caused a deep sleep to come on Adam. God then took a rib from Adam and made the woman. Then God brought the woman to Adam. Adam called her woman because she came from Adam. This a reason why a man will leave his mother and father to cleave to his wife and become one flesh. (Genesis 2:20-24,KJV). Then in the next chapter the woman then meets the serpent. The woman is then tricked by the serpent to eat from the tree of knowledge of good and evil. Then the woman gave the fruit to Adam her husband to have some as well. Then both of their eyes were open and they knew both good and evil. God then came into the garden and they were punished. As a result of eating the fruit the woman's punishment would be pain in childbirth and a desire for her husband but he would rule over her. After their punishment was announced she finally got her name Eve. Then they were both kicked out of the garden (Gensis 3 KJV).  Eve story continues when she gives births to two boys Cain and Abel. Cain killed Abel. Eve then has another son Seth after her son Cain killed her son Abel (Gensis 4). From the story of Eve we can learn a lot of things. 

Takeaways:

1. I mean we all have done things that we should not have done. It is probably that when we done those things no one was around to see it, we were able to hide it, or the punishment was not as harsh. Whatever it was we knew we had no business doing it but did it anyway even after we were told not to do that thing. Whether it was our parents, teachers, aunts, uncle, cousin, grandparents or whoever. Eve is no different from us in this sense. 

2. We have all experienced that one time when were we should probably not be talking as much. It was probably when we were littler and we would just tell everybody any and everything that came to much. without knowing any different or knowing the other person intention. We just wanted to talk and there was someone there listening to us. 

3. We all know a woman or heard of stories of woman who has a lot child. Now it may not have been the same way that Eve lost her child. Losing a child is something that no parent ever dreamed of going through. Normally it goes the other way. Where the child is supposed to bury the parent and not the other way around. 

Learners:

1. To always be obedient to GOD. When we are obedient to GOD's way we can save ourselves a lot of pain, heartaches and punishments. 

2. Accountability matters so much. There is no telling what would have happened if Eve took accountability for what she did. If she was honest there would be no telling if her punishment would have been that serve. It could have changed the outcome if she was just honest with what she did and not pass the buck to someone else. 

Results:

There are a lot of take aways from the story of Eve that we just don't think about or really dive into it. We all have done things that were not supposed to do even after we were told not to do it. As a result we were given some type of punishment even if it was not as big as getting kicked out of paradise. Then depending on hoe bad we messed up we have often tried to blame other people so we would not get in trouble. Especially when we were little instead of just telling the truth. Eve story is one that is also interesting in the fact that she didn't get her name until after her disobedience. Also notice that even after her disobedience and her getting kicked out of paradise. It never said that GOD left her after her disobedience. It never said that GOD then gave up on her and washed his hands of her and her husband. If we can take away anything form the story of Eve is that even when we messed up God is still there with us. Knowing that should give us hope, love, peace and even more reasons to get close to GOD while we still can.

Sarah

Hey,  The second woman of the bible we are going to talk about is Sarai/Sarah. Sarai was Sarah's name before her name was changed. We are first introduced to Sara as the wife of Abram, who was barren and both of them were making their way to Cannan (Genesis 11:29-31). The next time we read about Sarai is when her husband Abram asks her to say that she is his sister and not his wife less he would be killed because of her beauty (Genesis 12:12-13). Then once they were in Egypt the Pharoah took her and placed her in his house. As a result of this the LORD plagued Pharoah's house. Sarai was then returned to her husband Abram and they went their way (Genesis 12:17-20). The next time we read about Sarai was when she was telling her husband to sleep with her maid servant Hagar. The reason being is that she wanted to give her husband a child. Instead of waiting and trusting God she took the matter into her own hands with Hagar.
